Brazilian artist Felipe Yung, a.k.a “Flip,” has been at the forefront of the street art movement for more than a decade. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Flip’s creative vision has been influenced by progressive culture (art, fashion fetish and music); urban graffiti (tags and pixação); native vegetation, camouflage; as well as Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) and print (Ukiyo-e). As one of the first graffiti writers in Brazil to draw characters without letters in the streets and work with posters and stickers, Flip’s artistic approach is dynamic and multi-faceted.

In his newest body of work, he observes the relationship between humans and nature. The characters and ideas he introduces present a harmonious connection between human beings and nature. Today, Flip’s work is easily identified across Brazil’s city landscapes. His art can also be seen inside the galleries of São Paulo, Brazil; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Porto Alegre, Brazil; Salvador, Brazil; Madrid, Spain; Barcelona, Spain; Los Angeles, California; London; Paris and now – Miami, Florida. He was the primary contributor in the aesthetic realization of SUSHISAMBA strip, the restaurant’s sixth outpost located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
